Ghana’s rich history, culture, and heritage will be showcased at the 2027 Rio de Janeiro Carnival through a collaboration with renowned Brazilian samba school Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, marking another significant milestone in strengthening cultural ties between Ghana and Brazil.
The partnership follows engagements and cultural exchange visits facilitated by the Brazil–Ghana Chamber of Commerce, further deepening the connection between the two countries through culture, creativity, and shared heritage.
Beyond the Carnival celebration, the initiative presents an opportunity to introduce Ghana’s heritage, music, craftsmanship, stories, and creativity to a global audience through one of the world’s largest cultural platforms. It also creates a pathway to highlight Ghana’s tourism potential, businesses, products, and investment opportunities.
